SUI crypto trades at $1.12, up +2.2% over 24 hours, as traders weigh a sharp recent rebound against overhead resistance. The Sui Foundation’s $30M investment in DATA Network adds an AI-data catalyst, but the key question is whether ecosystem news can help sustain a move above $1.15.

Under the partnership, DATA will retire its independent chain and migrate its existing token to a Sui-native protocol on a 1:1 basis. Walrus becomes the default storage layer for DATA applications, while Trace tracks AI-training-data provenance and usage rights.

The partnership announcement says Trace has recorded more than 250 million contributions and averages over 3 million receipts daily. A useful media embed would be the announcement or a chart showing those activity figures alongside SUI’s price.

This is a strategic expansion, not proof of immediate token demand: adoption, migration timing, and token economics still matter. SUI has rallied from recent lows, but a bullish backdrop does not remove nearby technical hurdles. The price response at resistance now matters more than the headline alone.

The bull case is that SUI crypto holding $1.11 and reclaiming $1.18 would put $1.26 in focus. An hourly close above $1.27 has also been cited as a possible breakout confirmation. Beyond that, $1.29 is a nearer extension, while $1.40 would require stronger follow-through.

The base case is continued range trading between support and resistance. If $1.11 fails, $1.00–$1.04 becomes the next area to watch. Network development can support the longer-term narrative, as seen in other infrastructure and settlement discussions such as Solana’s tokenized-asset settlement context.
