XRP price fell to $1.38, losing up 2.5% over 24 hours, while Asian risk assets were under pressure, and South Korea’s KOSPI fell more than 6% amid the bullish prediction earlier. That relative resilience is notable, but can XRP hold the $1.35–$1.38 zone, or does the next move point lower?
Crypto exchanges liquidated more than $800 million in leveraged positions over 24 hours, with bullish bets accounting for $694 million, or 86% of the total. About $595 million was wiped out in the final 12 hours as Bitcoin slipped below $81,000.
SanDisk perpetual futures saw $19.5 million in liquidations, more than XRP’s $18.78 million. This highlights how crypto venues have become a home for leveraged bets on chip stocks as well as tokens.
For XRP, the immediate question is whether relative strength attracts buyers or simply delays a broader risk-driven pullback. The levels matter more than the headline.

The key near-term threshold is here at $1.38, where a trendline and the 200-day EMA converge. A sustained hold above it could open a move toward the 20-day EMA near $1.44; a daily close above that average would improve the short-term setup.
The broader upside markers are $1.61 and $1.69, but neither is in play without a clear reclaim of resistance. The $1.61 scenario depends on support holding.
Base case: XRP consolidates between roughly $1.35 and $1.44 while traders assess whether the equity selloff spreads. Bull case: buyers defend $1.3798 and push through $1.4441. Bear case: a close below $1.3520 weakens the structure and exposes further downside; the $1.20 support scenario frames the risk beyond the immediate range.
