He follows hot on the heels of chief technology officer <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/balaji-srinivasan\/\">Balaji Srinivasan<\/a>, who left at the start of the month, and former head of institutions Dan Romero.<\/p>\n<p>Hirji and Coinbase linked up after he left venture capital firm <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/andreessen-horowitz\/\">Andreessen Horowitz<\/a> in 2017 after working with exclusive clients as an operating adviser.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/coinbase?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@coinbase<\/a> tour of duty over.
