That rejection took place in December 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Though the latest filing discusses the above issues at length, it is unclear whether the filing sufficiently addresses the SEC's past concerns or provides new information.<\/p>\n<h2>Other firms file for spot Bitcoin ETFs<\/h2>\n<p>Other asset management companies, including <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/invesco-joins-blackrock-wisdomtree-in-filing-for-spot-bitcoin-etf\/\">Invesco<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wisdomtree-submits-new-filing-for-bitcoin-etf\/\">WisdomTree<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/bitwise-refiles-for-bitcoin-spot-etf-following-blackrock\/\">Bitwise<\/a> have also filed for spot Bitcoin ETFs in recent days. Those filings follow an application from the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/blackrock-files-for-spot-bitcoin-etf-coinbase-to-serve-as-custodian-for-btc-holdings\/\">industry giant BlackRock<\/a>, which has generated plenty of hype.<\/p>\n<p>Fidelity and Fidelity Digital Assets are <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/fidelity-rumored-to-make-seismic-crypto-move-soon\/\">also rumored<\/a> to be pursuing a spot Bitcoin ETF, though those rumors are not verified, and the companies have made no filing.<\/p>\n<p>There is currently no spot Bitcoin ETF available to U.S. investors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valkyrie Investments has filed for a spot Bitcoin ETF with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to a June 21 filing.
