The agreement allows FTX to withdraw $175 million in digital assets held on Bybit's platform and sell about $53 million in BIT tokens to Mirana Corp., Bybit's investment arm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The settlement arises amid FTX's ongoing <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/ftx-bankruptcy-court-filing-reveals-alameda-gave-1-6b-in-loans-to-sbf-others\/\">bankruptcy<\/a> proceedings initiated in Nov. 2022. FTX accused Bybit and related entities of exploiting &#8220;VIP&#8221; access and close relationships with FTX executives to withdraw $327 million in digital assets and cash immediately before FTX's collapse. These actions were alleged to be preferential and fraudulent transfers subject to recovery under bankruptcy law.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The settlement permits defendants who withdrew funds before the bankruptcy to hold creditor claims equal to 75% of their account balances as of the filing date.
