Tether CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/paolo-ardoino\/\">Paolo Ardoino<\/a> stated:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;By increasing our reserve buffer to over $6 billion and maintaining a focus on strategic investments, Tether is once again setting the standard for stability in the financial space.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>US treasuries and Bitcoin<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, Tether's issuing companies now hold over $105 billion in cash and cash equivalents, including a record $102.5 billion in US Treasuries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This amount places the crypto firm among the top 18 global holders of US Treasuries \u2014 above Germany, Australia, and the UAE \u2014 and is nearly $5 billion larger than Tether's <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/tethers-5-2-billion-h1-profit-sets-new-high-as-us-treasury-holdings-surpass-germany\/\">last attestation report<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the company added 7,100 Bitcoin (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bitcoin\/\">BTC<\/a>) to its stash, currently valued at nearly $4.8 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The firm\u2019s stablecoin, Tether USD (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/tether\/\">USDT<\/a>), surged to a circulation of nearly $120 billion, marking a 30% increase year-to-date.
