Robinhood<\/a> expanded its futures trading suite by adding micro futures contracts for XRP<\/a>, Solana (SOL<\/a>), and Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>), according to a June 27 announcement.<\/p>\n

The zero-commission brokerage said the new products offer lower margin requirements and seamless execution via its trading ladder interface.<\/p>\n

Each micro XRP futures contract represents 2,500 XRP, roughly $5,200 at current market prices, with similar specifications applied to the Solana and Bitcoin micro futures.<\/p>\n

The launch follows Robinhood\u2019s January partnership with CME Group to integrate widely traded futures into its mobile app, aiming to simplify access for retail investors.<\/p>\n

CME debuted XRP futures<\/a> in May, generating $542 million in monthly notional volume, with Solana futures rolled out earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Robinhood began offering futures last October, initially focused on traditional markets such as oil and the S&P 500 index. This expansion into crypto futures reflects its broader ambition<\/a> to become a comprehensive trading and financial services platform.<\/p>\n

Since adding crypto trading in 2018, Robinhood has accelerated its digital asset strategy, now listing over 26 tokens in the U.S. and nearly 50 in Europe.<\/p>\n

The firm's first-quarter earnings showed crypto revenues contributing more than 43% of total transaction-based income<\/a>, reinforcing the asset class as a core growth driver.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Robinhood completed its $200 million<\/a> acquisition of Bitstamp<\/a>, gaining institutional infrastructure and expanding global reach to support its crypto offerings.<\/p>\n

CEO Vlad Tenev<\/a> has framed these moves as central to building a \u201cfinancial super app\u201d that integrates investing, banking, and AI-powered personal finance tools for Gen Z and millennial users.<\/p>\n
