Circle is removing its separate net-redemption overage fee from USDC and EURC conversions into fiat under a revised Circle Mint fee schedule<\/a> that starts taking effect Oct. 19, 2026. Existing customers move onto the pricing at the start of their next billing period on or after that date.<\/p>\n

Under the public schedule, institutional customers can choose Standard redemptions with no Circle redemption fee or Express redemptions charged at 0.05% of the gross amount before credits. The overage surcharge disappears across all tiers, while the Express base fee remains.<\/p>\n

Circle Mint<\/a> serves institutions such as exchanges, banks, wallet providers and institutional traders. It is unavailable to individuals or customers minting stablecoins for personal use.<\/p>\n\n

USDC redemption fees under Standard and Express<\/h2>\n

Basic becomes Standard, while Institutional becomes Express. Circle is retiring the previous Standard tier, including its daily net-redemption fee and $10 million daily gross limit. The new Standard option is the renamed Basic tier.<\/p>\n

Standard processing takes up to two business days. Express quotes near-instant processing for 5 basis points, or 0.05%, of gross redemptions before credits.<\/p>\n

Both timings cover Circle's processing, followed by additional bank settlement time. The clock starts when Circle accepts a complete request. Compliance, fraud or sanctions reviews, or unavailable banking partners and payment rails<\/a>, can extend processing. Circle says these processing and settlement mechanics remain unchanged.<\/p>\n\n

Express customers that mint more than they redeem during a billing period may receive credits against redemption fees. Net minting is gross mints minus gross redemptions.<\/p>\n

Circle lists a 25% credit for eligible positive net minting, rising to 75% at $40 million and 100% at $100 million in net minting. Credits cannot exceed redemption fees paid, depend on activity during the billing period, and are not guaranteed. A zero or negative net-minting position receives no credit.<\/p>\n

The schedule exempts Circle Payments Network activity from Express redemption fees. A separate written agreement takes precedence if it conflicts with the public schedule.<\/p>\n

In an Oct. 16 article<\/a> discussing Circle's redemption economics<\/a>, Circle Chief Commercial Officer Kash Razzaghi said CPN payment flows could redeem for free in near real time, while other platform customers could qualify through balances and eligible products.<\/p>\n\n
