Robert Kiyosaki, the author of one of the top personal finance books of all time, stated that cryptocurrencies, gold, and silver, will triumph over an impending economic crash \u2014 the likes of which the world has never experienced.<\/p>\n

The author of the 1997 bestseller \u2018Rich Dad, Poor Dad\u2019, Kiyosaki has garnered a reputation as an investor, entrepreneur and motivational speaker \u2014 typically advocating the financial springboards of investment, entrepreneurship and increasing one\u2019s financial intelligence.<\/p>\n

Now, the Japanese-American is predicting that the failure of fiat currency will cause the \u201cbiggest of all\u201d global recessions and that cryptocurrency will be one of the lone survivors.<\/p>\n

Fake News, Fake Money<\/h2>\n

Speaking to news.com.au<\/a> on August 6, 2018, Kiyosaki did not hide his disdain for the U.S. Federal Reserve\u2019s use of quantitative easing \u2014 the creation of fresh currency en masse <\/i>\u2014 which, in his opinion, is inflating a bubble of epic proportions.<\/p>\n

Yet, to the 71-year-old businessman, fractional reserve banking is equally unthinkable. In an April podcast with Sane Crypto<\/a>, Kiyosaki described how banks loan up to ten times their net holdings, debasing the worth of the dollar. During the interview, he noted:<\/p>\n

For every one ounce of gold, there might be a hundred ounces of paper gold, and that\u2019s why I\u2019ve never trusted paper.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The U.S. dollar was once redeemable for 1.5 grams of gold, but President Nixon ended this system in 1971 \u2014 creating a fiat currency unbacked by any physical asset.<\/p>\n

According to Kiyosaki, such a currency equates to \u201cfake money\u201d. Reflecting on Nixon\u2019s legacy, he stated<\/a>:<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always been a gold bug. My latest book coming out is called Fake. There\u2019s so much fake money. In 1971 Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard and the US dollar became fake money.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While Kiyosaki describes gold and silver as \u201cthe objective\u201d of all sound investment policy, he stated<\/a> in April that cryptocurrencies are a \u201cwonderful idea\u201d that will likely outlast fiat currency.\u00a0 During\u00a0the interview, the entrepreneur summarized his stance:<\/p>\n

I think the dollar is toast because Gold and Silver and cyber currency are going to take it out.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
