Meme coins are slipping together, and only one is holding up. According to DexScreener's metas page, 17 of 18 categories lost market cap over the past 24 hours, with political memes being an exception at +1.05% to $5.96 billion.
Dogs fell 4.86%, degen tokens 7.55% and brainrot 8.75%, while cats slipped just 1.38%. Network-wise, Solana still leads trading with $3.17 billion in 24-hour volume, ahead of BNB Chain at $1.97 billion, Base at $1.10 billion and Robinhood Chain at $934.6 million.

Risk-off tendencies dominate: Bitcoin trades near $86,300, yet CoinGecko's Fear and Greed Index sits in the fear zone at 40, and global 24-hour volume fell to $80.3 billion from $130.6 billion a week ago.
Copycats also aren't sleeping. Zcash-paired and stock-paired launches are spreading across Solana and BNB Chain, and several copies are already down 58% to 89%.
Top Meme Coin Market Winners
DexScreener and CoinGecko list the following meme tokens among the leading gainers, with PUMP shown on a weekly chart:
- Cao Zhen (CZ, BNB Chain): up roughly 9,178% on a $659,000 market cap, only five hours old.
- Team Human (HUMAN, Solana): up roughly 1,809% on $22.8 million in volume.
- Yersinia pestis (PLAGUE, Solana): up roughly 829% on a $1.9 million market cap.
- cat wif sword (swordcat, Solana): up roughly 497% on a $3.9 million market cap.
- Anonymous Cat (ZCAT, Solana): up 33.8% on $5.2 million in volume.
- Pump.fun (PUMP): up about 25% on the week, with a market cap near $2.9 billion.

Most of the biggest moves belong to tokens only hours or days old, with $126,000 to $261,000 in liquidity, so the quoted gains are not exit prices. Team Human shows how fast sentiment reverses: it is up 1,809% on the day but has already lost 43% over six hours. PUMP is the exception, backed by $2.59 million in daily fees on DefiLlama, even though it slipped 2.8% over 24 hours.
Memecoins to Watch
Some Solana launches now choose their own trading pair, and the idea of tying a memecoin to a bigger asset is spreading across chains. Three projects show different versions of it.
Anonymous Cat (ZCAT)
ZCAT launched on StonkFun and trades directly against ZEC instead of SOL. A 3% tax on every transfer is converted into ZEC and paid to wallets holding at least $20 of the token. AirdropAlert reports about 2,320 ZEC, roughly $2.8 million, paid out in its first week, before ZCAT peaked near a $170 million market cap on September 7. Copies followed: SAPLING on Solana and MOMO and SHIELD on BNB Chain also trade against ZEC. The pair is also the risk. ZEC was the second-worst weekly performer in AMBCrypto's review, down 16.7%, and the payouts depend entirely on trading volume.
Meme Agency (MEMEAGENCY)
Meme Agency launched on Pump.fun on October 4 and went live on the market the same day. There are more than 5,390 holders and 8,070 traders within about a day, with roughly $965,000 in volume, and a later tracker put its market cap near $2 million.
The top ten wallets hold 32.7% of supply, although mint and freeze functions have been revoked. Agent-themed names are crowding Solana's board, and Agent Cat has already fallen 89.1%. PunchCard, another October launch, peaked at $0.000195 on October 2 and now sits below a $44,000 market cap.
Cao Zhen (CZ)
Cao Zhen tops BNB Chain's trending board, up about 9,178% on a $659,000 market cap with $2.8 million in volume and $149,000 in liquidity. It belongs to DexScreener's Chinese meta, which holds $686.2 million across 62 tokens but fell 4.8% on the day. Dragon and Chinese-language launches such as Anima (+780%), 中国龙 (+485%) and 万事兴龙 (+162%) fill the board, while Anima Inu fell 73% in five minutes. BNB Chain's 24-hour volume is more than double Robinhood Chain's.
Largest Meme Coin Losers
The biggest 24-hour declines on DexScreener's Solana and BNB Chain include:
- Agent Cat (AGENTCAT, Solana): down 89.1% on $10.4 million in volume.
- Binance Inu (BI, BNB Chain): down 84.6% on a $143,000 market cap.
- Knight Cat (Solana): down 80.0% on a $747,000 market cap.
- Superintelligence Owl (OWL, Solana): down 74.6% on a $265,000 market cap.
- SpaceX Inu (SI, BNB Chain): down 58.2% on a $306,000 market cap.
- Super Inu (SI, Solana): down 22.2% on a $31.2 million market cap.
Agent Cat is the clearest example of how quickly a fresh launch can turn into dust. Despite generating $10.4 million in volume, the token fell 89.1%, leaving it with a market cap of roughly $1.0 million.

Three of the six tokens are paired with stocks on Robinhood Chain: Binance Inu with NVDA, and Superintelligence Owl and SpaceX Inu with SpaceX. But those suffered from steep price drops too.
Super Inu is the largest token on the list, yet it still dropped 22.2%. As always, even a relatively large market cap is not a safeguard in the memecoin market.
What Comes Next?
The market faces two tests. The first is Bitcoin, which has reclaimed $85,000 while memes have not followed it higher. With the fear reading at 40 and global volume falling, rallies in small-cap tokens depend on buyers who are getting scarcer.
The second is supply. Larger tokens like PUMP face token unlocks later this month, about $40.25 million and $60.8 million on political meme tokens, according to KuCoin's October 1 report. ZEC-paired tokens now depend on Zcash stabilizing after its weekly slide. The next thing to watch is whether the copycat launches on Solana and BNB Chain keep drawing volume or fade the way Agent Cat and Binance Inu did.
