Stellar (XLM) has just scored a big institutional deal.
Tokenization powerhouse Securitize is reportedly looking to integrate its regulatory financial tech into Stellar’s blockchain.
The deal is likely to further bolster Stellar’s participation in the booming real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market.
Securitize wants to use the integration to offer tokenized financial asset issuance and management on Stellar.
Per the statement, Stellar has the fourth-largest ecosystem in terms of real-world asset tokens.
This shows how Stellar is getting major traction in the institutional blockchain space.
Securitize’s 17th blockchain
Meanwhile, in a recent X thread, Securitize shared that Stellar is its 17th blockchain it is integrating it into its tokenization tech.
The move is all about giving institutional asset managers more choice when it comes to picking blockchains for financial products.
Securitize pointed out that Stellar was built to support the financial services industry.
The blockchain has features meant to enable regulated financial institutions. It’s capable of issuing financial assets and settling transactions.
There have been billions of transactions since Stellar’s launch.
The news comes during the Stellar Development Foundation’s (SDF) annual event Meridian 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal.
As for the financial products that will be offered with the integration, and an exact timeline for the rollout, that is still to be seen.
Extending the reach of Stellar
The latest news holds a lot of weight, given that Securitize is quite established in the tokenization space.
Securitize currently works with some of the world’s biggest asset managers. BlackRock, Apollo, BNY, KKR, and Hamilton Lane are all there.
It has around $5B worth of tokenized securities on its platform. As for Stellar, it is already a hub for institutional tokenization.
