About CryptoSlate
What is CryptoSlate?
CryptoSlate publishes crypto news, analysis, market data, guides, reviews, and directory profiles. Founded in 2017, we help readers follow developments across digital assets, markets, technology, and regulation. Visit About CryptoSlate to learn more about our coverage and team.
Who runs CryptoSlate, and who has invested in it?
CryptoSlate is operated by Zenzio Incorporated and was founded by Nate Whitehill and Matthew Blancarte. Our team works across multiple continents. CryptoSlate has disclosed funding received from Sora Ventures and BTSE in 2022; editorial decisions remain with the newsroom. See our team and masthead and transparency resources.
How does CryptoSlate make money?
Commercial revenue helps fund our reporting and operations. Sources include advertising, sponsored content, paid review packages, listings, newsletter sponsorships, podcast features, press releases, and affiliate referrals. Paid relationships are disclosed where relevant. Our revenue disclosure explains these arrangements and their limits.
Editorial, Corrections & Trust
How does CryptoSlate choose and verify its coverage?
Editors consider newsworthiness, timeliness, reader relevance, public interest, and the strength of available evidence. Reporting prioritizes primary documents, data, and attributable sources, with editorial review and relevant conflict disclosures. Read our Editorial Policy for the published standards.
How can I distinguish independent reporting from paid content?
News, analysis, opinion, sponsored content, and press releases are identified by content type. Paid placements use disclosures such as Sponsored, Ad, or Promoted, with additional notes where relevant. Collaborative content involving a commercial relationship is also disclosed. Sponsors cannot remove required disclosures, and commercial partnerships do not determine newsroom coverage. See how paid relationships work.
Does CryptoSlate use AI in articles or images?
Yes. AI may assist research, drafting, editing, headlines, images, and production. Humans remain responsible for publication and editorial decisions. Selected illustrations may be AI-generated or AI-assisted and should not be treated as documentary photographs of real events. The extent of assistance and labeling varies by workflow; our AI Usage Disclaimer explains the approach.
How do I request a correction to an article or review?
Email tips@cryptoslate.com with the page URL, the specific statement you believe is incorrect, and supporting evidence. Editors review factual correction requests and update the record when warranted. Material corrections are handled under our Editorial Policy. For directory profile changes, use Suggest an Edit.
How do I submit a news tip, exclusive, or embargoed announcement?
Send a concise summary, relevant public sources, and a source contact to the newsroom. For an embargo request, state the proposed date, time, and time zone, and seek agreement before sharing restricted material. Sending a submission does not guarantee acceptance of an embargo or editorial coverage.
Can I contact the newsroom anonymously or share sensitive material?
Contact the newsroom first with a brief outline and without confidential attachments or source documents. Discuss an appropriate way to share material before sending it. Editors assess requests for anonymity and corroboration case by case. An ordinary email or contact form should not be assumed to provide an anonymous or secure submission channel.
Can I republish, syndicate, or commercially reuse CryptoSlate content?
You can share a link to the original page. For republication, syndication, redistribution, or commercial reuse, contact CryptoSlate with the relevant URLs, intended use, and publication details. Written permission or applicable licensing terms may be required, subject to uses permitted by law. RSS access does not grant republication rights. See our Terms and Conditions.
Does CryptoSlate provide investment, tax, or legal advice?
No. Our reporting, reviews, market data, forecasts, and tools are for information and education. The retirement calculator depends on adjustable assumptions, and the laws tracker summarizes sources and legal status rather than advising on your circumstances. Check dates and primary sources, and consult qualified professionals for advice relevant to you.
Newsletters & RSS
Which CryptoSlate newsletters are available, and how often are they sent?
CryptoSlate offers three free newsletters: The Catalyst covers crypto news and context daily; The Oracle covers prediction markets twice weekly; and The Shortlist covers products and reviews weekly. Choose the publications that interest you on the newsletter signup page.
How do I subscribe to a CryptoSlate newsletter?
Visit our Newsletters page, choose your publications, and submit your email address. Follow any confirmation instructions shown during signup or sent to your inbox. Check spam or promotions folders if an expected email does not arrive.
How do I change my newsletter subscriptions or unsubscribe?
To stop receiving a newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in one of that publication’s emails. Manage each publication you receive through its email links or provider-managed preferences where offered. The website’s saved newsletter choices are browser preferences and should not be used as proof that an email subscription has been cancelled.
Why am I not receiving a newsletter I subscribed to?
Check your spam and promotions folders, confirm the email address you used, and add the sender of a genuine CryptoSlate newsletter to your contacts or safe-sender list. If the problem continues, contact support with the publication name and subscription email address. Do not send passwords or login codes.
How do I follow CryptoSlate through RSS?
Visit our RSS feed directory, choose the coverage you want, and add its feed URL to your reader. Public feeds include excerpts and links to the full pages on CryptoSlate and do not require an email signup. RSS brings published entries into your reader; newsletters bring curated editions to your inbox. Feed access does not grant republication rights.
Reviews & Rankings
How are CryptoSlate review scores and product rankings determined?
Reviews use category-specific criteria and weights, with scores expressed out of 10. The factors differ by product type and can include security, costs, usability, availability, transparency, and other relevant evidence. Our How We Rank methodology explains the categories. Read each page’s disclosures and limitations alongside its score.
Do sponsored reviews or affiliate commissions affect review scores?
A provider may pay for a sponsored review or qualifying referral actions. Compensation does not determine its review score or editorial assessment. It can affect paid placement or commercial visibility. Sponsors cannot choose a favorable score. Read our ranking methodology and commercial disclosure alongside the page’s own disclosures.
When are reviews updated, and what does the edit log show?
We revisit reviews as products, fees, availability, and risks change. Check the page’s update date and edit log for meaningful revisions, such as changes to features, scores, or disclosures. An update date is not a guarantee that every provider term is current; confirm important details directly before signing up.
Why do reviews show country or U.S. state restrictions?
Availability, fees, promotions, and product features can differ by location. Geographic warnings help identify restrictions, but do not establish that a service is legal or suitable for every reader. Confirm the provider’s current country, state, age, and account requirements before signing up. See our Terms and Conditions for the limits of informational reviews.
Market Data & Tools
How do I use coin rankings, filters, and custom columns?
Open Coin Rankings to compare assets. Use Filters to narrow the asset set by available categories, networks, size, liquidity, or performance measures. Columns lets you choose metrics and presets; column headings sort the results shown on the current page. Asset rankings describe the displayed metric and should not be read as editorial recommendations.
Where is my watchlist saved, and will it sync across devices?
Select the star beside an asset to add it to your watchlist. Selections are saved in that browser and do not automatically sync across browsers or devices. Clearing saved site data may remove them. No CryptoSlate account is required. Our Coin Discovery overview explains the controls.
Where does market data come from, and why can prices or charts differ?
Sources vary by data type. Coin pages identify providers such as CoinMarketCap and TradingView. Exchange coverage, trading pairs, aggregation methods, supply definitions, currency conversion, and update times can produce different figures. Check each source and timestamp; a displayed price is not a guaranteed executable trading quote. See our market-data disclosure.
How do I report missing, delayed, or incorrect market data?
Contact support with the page URL, affected metric, observed value, date and time, expected value, and a reliable supporting source. Include the trading pair or currency where relevant. Missing or unavailable data should not be treated as zero. Provider methodologies and update intervals may need to be checked before a correction can be made.
Are prediction-market odds CryptoSlate forecasts?
The percentages on CryptoSlate Predictions reflect probabilities implied by the source prediction market. They are distinct from model-based price forecasts on coin pages. Odds can change and do not guarantee an outcome. Check the market-data timestamp, commentary date, source platform, and resolution rules separately.
Does an On peg label mean a stablecoin is safe?
Peg Health describes how closely a stablecoin tracks its reference value. It does not assess reserves, redemption arrangements, issuer risk, or overall safety. A stablecoin can trade near its peg while carrying other risks. Our Coin Discovery overview explains the available Peg Health states.
Does CryptoSlate offer a public developer API?
CryptoSlate does not currently offer a public developer API. Public website access and RSS feeds do not grant permission to scrape, redistribute, or commercially reuse our data. For data access or licensing inquiries, contact CryptoSlate with your intended use.
How should I interpret CryptoSlate's coin price predictions?
Price predictions use historical data and statistical models to show possible outcomes over a stated horizon. Check the reference close, target date, and uncertainty ranges in the on-page forecast notes. Actual prices can fall outside the displayed ranges. Scenario price-change percentages are not probabilities that an event will happen, and forecasts are not guarantees or investment recommendations.
Why can a coin show a Bullish market signal while its price is falling?
Market Signal combines price momentum across several timeframes with historical price position, milestone recency, and volume confirmation. A daily decline can coexist with a bullish composite reading. Check the score explanation on the asset page. The signal describes current price-based conditions; it is not a future price forecast, a project rating, or a recommendation to trade.
What does Trading Activity measure?
Where displayed, Trading Activity assesses evidence supporting the quoted price, including reported volume, liquidity, exchange coverage, and quote freshness. It does not measure development work, community activity, legal status, reserves, or solvency. Read the asset page’s explanation and data-coverage notes; a stronger activity reading does not establish that a project is safe.
Directory & Asset Listings
How do I request a crypto asset or token listing?
Review the Asset Listing service and submit your project’s official website, documentation, network and contract details where applicable, and relevant market-data sources. Requests are subject to review, eligibility, and data availability. Confirm the scope and timing with the team; inclusion and a fixed turnaround are not guaranteed. Read the Coin Listings Disclaimer.
How do I submit a company, product, or person for the directory?
Contact CryptoSlate with the proposed profile type, official website or public biography, a concise description, relevant category, and reliable supporting sources. Company and product teams can also review the Verified Listing service. Eligibility, available services, and any fees depend on the request; submission does not guarantee publication.
How do I claim an existing directory profile?
Use the Claim Profile form linked from directory pages. Provide your name, company, email address, profile URL, and the request or changes you want reviewed. Explain your relationship to the profile. Submitting a claim does not grant immediate or unrestricted editing access.
How do I update a profile or request a category change?
Use Suggest an Edit with the listing URL, the specific fields or categories to change, and reliable supporting sources. This route covers company, product, person, and asset profile information. Requests are reviewed before changes are made. For an incorrect live price or market metric, report the data issue to support.
Can I request removal of a directory or asset listing?
Contact CryptoSlate with the listing URL, reason for the request, and relevant evidence. Removal requests are reviewed case by case and do not guarantee deletion; public-interest information may be retained. For requests concerning your personal information, use the rights and contact details in our Privacy Policy.
What is the difference between a Claimed Profile and a Verified Listing?
A Claimed Profile indicates that CryptoSlate has verified an authorized representative. Verified Listing is a separate directory service that includes a profile and badge. Neither status is a guarantee of product accuracy, security, solvency, regulatory approval, or future performance. Check the page’s disclosures rather than treating a profile badge as a product audit or endorsement.
Does a paid listing guarantee editorial coverage or a better coin ranking?
No. Paid listing services provide the agreed commercial profile or visibility; they do not guarantee newsroom coverage, endorsement, or a ranking position. Asset tables are generally ordered by the named market metric, rather than a product review score. Our listing disclosure explains what inclusion and paid priority services do and do not mean.
Advertising & Partnerships
Where can I find current advertising options, rates, and audience information?
Our Media Kit lists campaign formats, placement details, published starting rates, and audience information. For current inventory, dates, and a tailored quote, contact the partnerships team or message @cryptoslate on Telegram. Confirm the final scope before booking.
How do I choose a campaign, bundle, or custom partnership?
Share your objective, audience, budget, target locations, preferred dates, and available assets. The team can discuss a suitable mix of display advertising, content, newsletters, podcast features, and listings from the current media kit. Bundles, bespoke production, extensions, and changes depend on availability and the agreed quote.
How do Sponsored Articles, Collaborative Content, and Press Releases differ?
A Sponsored Article publishes sponsor-approved material with disclosure and quality checks. Collaborative Content involves developing material with the CryptoSlate team. Press releases are issuer-provided announcements coordinated through Chainwire. These are commercial formats rather than independent newsroom reporting; production and distribution depend on the selected placement.
What is included in a Sponsored Article?
The current Sponsored Article placement describes a native article with clear disclosure, editorial quality checks, a branded CTA block, promotion through selected CryptoSlate channels, and a performance summary. Confirm the specific channels, homepage treatment, and any additional placements in the agreed campaign scope.
What content rules apply to sponsored submissions?
Our Sponsored Content Guidelines call for 700–1,000 words, no more than three relevant outbound links, clear sponsor identification, and a CTA section. Submissions must be professional, accurate, original, and not solely AI-generated. They must not promote speculative price gains or guaranteed returns. Content is subject to review, and required sponsorship labels cannot be removed.
Can advertising target particular countries, regions, or demographics?
Some placements support geographic targeting or country exclusions; others do not. Share the countries or regions you need to reach or exclude so the team can confirm available controls for the selected format. Audience demographics in the Media Kit describe readership and do not establish that every placement supports targeting those groups.
What assets are needed, and can CryptoSlate help with writing?
Typical inputs include campaign goals, destination and tracking URLs, logos, brand guidelines, screenshots, approved claims, and relevant legal or compliance notes. Writing, editing, or production assistance depends on the package. The team will confirm the brief and required materials for the selected campaign format.
How soon can a sponsored campaign launch?
Timing depends on the format, complete assets, review requirements, approvals, and available inventory. Placement pages may show typical turnaround estimates, but those estimates are not guaranteed deadlines. Confirm the launch schedule with the team before booking or announcing a publication date.
How long will sponsored content stay online, and is search indexing guaranteed?
Confirm hosting and distribution terms for the selected placement before booking. Paid material remains subject to our policies and may be updated, relabeled, or removed if problems are identified. Search engines control indexing and search rankings, so publication does not guarantee either. See our commercial content disclosure.
What campaign reporting will I receive?
Reporting depends on the format and agreed scope. Available measures can include impressions, clicks, click-through rate, reach, placement dates, or distribution details. Confirm the metrics, reporting period, and delivery schedule for your campaign; a content placement’s performance summary is not a promise of every metric across every channel.
How are campaigns invoiced, and what payment methods are accepted?
Provide your company’s legal name, billing address, and billing email so the team can prepare an invoice. Ask the team to confirm the accepted payment method, currency, and any token and network details before transferring funds. Follow the invoice instructions and verify unexpected changes through CryptoSlate’s published contact channels.
Are there advertising restrictions, including for casinos or gambling?
CryptoSlate does not accept cloud-mining campaigns, scams, deceptive promotions, pump-and-dump schemes, or guaranteed-return claims. Campaigns are subject to review. Casino and gambling advertising inquiries should go to Kate, our Affiliate Manager, at affiliates@cryptoslate.com; a referral does not guarantee acceptance. Required advertising and sponsorship disclosures remain in place.
Privacy & Support
What personal information does CryptoSlate collect and use?
Depending on how you use the site, CryptoSlate may collect information you provide, such as an email address or support message, and technical or interaction data. This supports subscriptions, site operation, support, security, analytics, and advertising as described in our Privacy Policy. That policy explains recipients, retention, and available choices.
How can I change my cookie and tracking preferences?
Select Cookie Settings in the website footer to review your choices. Some necessary technologies and settings used to provide site features you requested may continue to operate. Browser controls can also affect cookies and saved site data. See the Privacy Policy’s cookie information for details.
How do I request access to, correction of, or deletion of my personal information?
Email privacy@cryptoslate.com with your request. Available rights and applicable limits depend on your location and circumstances, and we may need to verify your identity before completing it. Our Privacy Policy explains the process. Newsletter unsubscribe links are available in the relevant publication’s emails.
How can I verify a CryptoSlate journalist or commercial contact?
Check the person against our public team information and verify uncertain requests through the contact page you open independently. A familiar display name, logo, or apparent email domain alone is not proof of identity. Be cautious with unexpected payment instructions or links. Never share passwords, login codes, private keys, or wallet recovery phrases.
How do I report a technical problem with the website?
Contact support with the page URL, what you were trying to do, steps to reproduce the problem, your browser and device, and any visible error message. Include a screenshot if useful, with private information removed. This helps the team distinguish a site issue from a provider, connection, or browser problem.
Can CryptoSlate help with an account or withdrawal problem at a reviewed provider?
Contact the provider directly for account access, deposits, withdrawals, or disputes. CryptoSlate publishes information about third-party services and cannot access or manage your account with them. If our review contains a factual error, email the newsroom with the review URL and supporting evidence.
How do I report a suspicious advertisement or someone impersonating CryptoSlate?
Contact CryptoSlate with the page URL or sender details, the relevant advertiser or claimed identity, and an explanation of the concern. Include supporting evidence with private information removed. A routine factual correction and a suspected scam are different issues, so make the concern clear. Do not send passwords, recovery phrases, or funds to demonstrate a problem.
