Nexo About

Nexo is a digital asset platform founded in 2018. Its custodial account lets users hold supported assets and trade through an integrated exchange. The wider product range includes savings accounts and crypto-backed credit, alongside the Nexo Card. Nexo Pro provides more advanced trading tools. These services place Nexo among the managed accounts in our crypto wallet directory.

Nexo holds the keys for its main account wallet. Users recover access through account verification rather than restoring a seed phrase. Its older self-custody Web3 Wallet closed in 2025. Our Nexo Wallet review covers the current custodial product.

For US customers, Nexo uses Bakkt for custody and trading infrastructure. Availability depends on the state and product, and the Nexo Card is unavailable in the US. Other jurisdictions have their own services and terms. Rates and supported assets can change, so customers should check the conditions for the feature they intend to use. As with other custodial wallets, access to funds depends on the provider and its custody partners.
